Steer with A, D, Left Arrow, Right Arrow, or drag across the arena. Hold Space or press and hold the arena to fire the forward guns. Press E, either Shift key, or the Gravity control when the gravity burst is charged. You have three hull integrity. The first gate is a safe calibration; shift into its highlighted gap.
